Navigation and Learn

The sidebar is the main navigation for authenticated Navaid. Its content changes with the active company, your role, company history, and system feature flags.

Standard navigation​

Most users see:

  • Dashboard
  • Sessions
  • Tasks
  • Maturity Map
  • Progression
  • Competitor Analysis
  • Settings

Manager, Admin, Consultant, and System Admin roles also see Company. System Admins see System Admin.

Eligible multi-company users see Overview above Dashboard.

New Session action​

A brand-new company starts its first conversation from the Dashboard. After the account has session history, a prominent New Session action appears directly below Dashboard in the sidebar.

You can also start from:

  • the Sessions page;
  • the Maturity Map's focused-session links;
  • Dashboard; or
  • Aida navigation, when enabled.

Company header​

The top of the sidebar shows:

  • active company logo or initials;
  • company name; and
  • your role in that company.

When you have multiple active memberships—or permission to create a company—select the header to open the company picker. Switching reloads the application in the new company context.

Learn​

Learn opens the in-app guide. It automatically opens once per user on first authenticated use and remains available from the sidebar.

Its sections cover:

  • how the Assess → Understand → Act loop works;
  • the 15-dimension maturity model;
  • three rings;
  • five levels;
  • product tools;
  • how assessment works;
  • privacy; and
  • what Navaid can and cannot do.

Select links in Your tools to go directly to product pages. Select Got it — let's go or Close when finished.

Read Learn as orientation

Some short Learn descriptions simplify the product. For example, a session does not guarantee a fixed number of tasks, and marking a task complete does not directly force a maturity transition. The detailed guides describe current behaviour.

Feedback​

Feedback opens a modal for submitting a bug report or feature request and for reviewing My Reports. See Feedback and My Reports.

Language​

When multilingual support is available, a compact language selector appears near the bottom of the sidebar. See Languages.

User area and sign out​

The bottom user row shows your avatar or initials, name, and email. Select the sign-out icon to end the current authenticated session and return to the public site.

Collapse and mobile navigation​

On desktop:

  • Select Hide sidebar near the Navaid logo to collapse it.
  • Use Show menu in the slim top bar to restore it.
  • The hidden state is a per-device preference and survives sign-out.

On smaller screens:

  • use the menu button at the upper left;
  • select a destination to close the drawer; or
  • select the close control or outside overlay.

Notification badges​

Sessions can display a numeric badge when new group-session invitations or participation records need attention. Open Sessions to inspect the group cards.

Feature-gated items​

Some tools are present only when enabled:

  • Overview
  • group sessions
  • voice
  • group voice
  • Aida
  • multilingual UI
  • MCP external-AI connector
  • Prospect Radar

System Admins can often access gated surfaces for administration or verification even when ordinary users cannot. See Feature Availability and Troubleshooting.

Keyboard and accessibility​

  • The main layout includes a Skip to main content link for keyboard users.
  • Settings tabs support arrow, Home, and End keys.
  • Dialogs and interactive maps provide labelled controls.
  • In a conversation, Enter sends and Shift+Enter adds a line.

Troubleshooting​

A navigation item is missing​

Check the active company and role first. Then ask a System Admin whether its feature flag is enabled.

The wrong company opens​

Use the company picker and wait for the full reload. Do not create new content until the correct company name is visible.

The sidebar remains hidden after signing in again​

That is expected: it is stored as a device preference. Select Show menu.
