Getting Started
Newfound Navaid helps a company prepare for UK market entry through research-backed AI conversations, a shared readiness model, and a practical task list. This guide explains how to get access, sign in, and reach your first useful result.
What Navaid does
Navaid combines several connected tools:
- Readiness sessions are natural conversations with an AI advisor. The advisor asks one question at a time and adapts to what you say.
- The Maturity Map records your company's position across 15 UK-entry dimensions and updates as evidence emerges.
- Tasks turn readiness gaps into concrete actions assigned to executive roles.
- Progression shows how the company's maturity changes over time.
- Competitor Analysis researches a selected UK competitive landscape.
- Aida, when enabled, can answer questions about your Navaid data and help you move around the application.
- Team and portfolio features let colleagues collaborate and let authorised advisors or administrators work across companies.
The maturity map, company knowledge, and task list belong to the active company. They are shared company resources, even though individual session visibility still depends on role. See Roles and Session Visibility.
Navaid provides general, AI-generated guidance. It may not capture every circumstance. Use qualified legal, financial, tax, employment, and regulatory professionals for decisions that require professional advice.
What you need
You need:
- a modern browser;
- access to the email address associated with your account or invitation; and
- either an existing account, a valid signup invite code, or an invitation from a company administrator.
No password or local software installation is required.
Choose the right access path
I already have an account
Open the sign-in page and use the normal Welcome back form:
- Enter your email address.
- Select Send Code.
- Open the email from Navaid and enter the six-digit, single-use code.
- Complete verification before the 60-second countdown ends.
If the countdown reaches zero, select Resend code. A newly issued code replaces the previous one.
I have a company invitation
Open the invitation link rather than starting from the generic signup page. The invitation page identifies the company, role, and invited email address, then returns you to the invitation after passwordless authentication.
Follow Accepting a Company Invitation for the full workflow.
I am creating a new account with an invite code
Use the Get started signup form:
- Enter your email.
- Enter the invite code supplied to you. Codes are not required for an existing account or an email with a valid pending company invitation.
- Select Send sign-up code.
- Enter the six-digit email code.
- If you do not yet belong to a company, create one when prompted.
New-account creation is deliberately invite-gated. If the form says the code is invalid, revoked, or exhausted, request another code from the person who gave it to you.
If you do not have a signup code, the signup page may offer an early-access request. Submitting a request does not create an account immediately; it records your request for review.
Create your first company
If your account has no company membership, Navaid can take you to Create your company:
- Enter the Company name.
- Review the generated Company URL slug and edit it if necessary.
- Select Create Company.
The creator becomes that company's Admin. An Admin can manage the company and invite colleagues. If you were invited to an existing company, accept that invitation instead of creating a duplicate company.
See Companies and Switching for multi-company behaviour.
Your first arrival
The Learn overlay opens automatically the first time an authenticated user loads the application. It introduces sessions, the readiness map, company knowledge, competitor analysis, and teamwork. Close it when you are ready; Learn in the sidebar opens it again.
You then work from the Dashboard:
- A company with no maturity profile sees a clear prompt to begin its first session.
- Once readiness data exists, the Dashboard shows overall maturity, the ring map, at-risk and on-track counts, journey statistics, critical tasks, and the 15 dimensions.
- Depending on your role, company count, and enabled features, you may also see Overview, group-session actions, Aida, a language selector, and company-management links.
Read Navigation and Learn and Dashboard for a complete tour.
Fastest route to value
For a new company, this sequence works well:
- Add useful pitch, strategy, or market material under Company → Knowledge if an administrator has documents available.
- Start a first readiness session.
- Answer with concrete facts, including uncertainties and missing decisions.
- Finish the session and review its summary.
- Open Maturity Map to inspect the evidence behind each level.
- Use Tasks to decide what the team should do next.
- Return for focused sessions as the company gathers new evidence.
Navaid is designed for repeated use. A first session establishes a baseline; later sessions can verify new facts, deepen a dimension, and record progress.
Sign-in troubleshooting
No email arrives
- Confirm the address is correct.
- Check spam, junk, quarantine, and corporate email filters.
- Wait until Resend code becomes available, then request a fresh code.
- Use only the newest code.
“We couldn't find an account”
You used the sign-in form with an email that has no existing account. Use the signup form with a valid invite code, or open the company invitation sent to that email.
Verification fails
The code may have expired, been used already, or been superseded by a resend. Request another code and enter it before the countdown reaches zero.
You arrive in the wrong company
If your account belongs to more than one company, use the company switcher near the top of the sidebar. The Dashboard, sessions, maturity, tasks, knowledge, and usage data all follow the active company.
