Aida Assistant

Aida is Navaid's in-app assistant. It can answer questions about the active company's Navaid data, move you to relevant screens, operate supported page controls, and request confirmed task changes.

Aida is separate from the readiness advisor inside a session.

Availability​

Aida appears as a floating launcher at the lower right when the Aida assistant feature is enabled. System Admins can use it while the general flag is off.

Text and voice Aida calls consume the applicable monthly AI budget.

Open and ask​

  1. Select Open Aida assistant.
  2. Choose a suggested prompt or enter your own request.
  3. Press Enter or select Send.

Suggested prompts include:

  • “Where are we weakest?”
  • “Show me my tasks”
  • “Take me to the maturity map”

The panel shows an activity message while Aida reads data or navigates.

What Aida can read​

Subject to your Navaid permissions, Aida can retrieve:

  • maturity summary and weakest assessed dimensions;
  • one dimension's level, confidence, rationale, and open tasks;
  • Pending, In progress, or Completed tasks;
  • recent company sessions;
  • one session's summary;
  • company facts and learnings;
  • companies you can access; and
  • a multi-company portfolio snapshot.

Aida does not gain extra data access because it is an AI. Its tools use the authenticated application's permission checks.

Aida can open:

  • Dashboard;
  • Maturity Map;
  • Tasks;
  • Sessions;
  • Progression;
  • Competitor Analysis;
  • Company;
  • Settings;
  • Overview; and
  • a specific session or dimension.

For a multi-company user, it can switch the active company by a matching client name. Check the company header after a switch.

Aida can also open New Session with an optional focus dimension. It does not create the session merely by navigating there.

Page interaction​

On screens that advertise supported controls to Aida, it can:

  • fill a text field;
  • choose a select option;
  • toggle a checkbox; or
  • click a button.

You watch the interface change, and the target control is highlighted. Aida cannot use this mechanism to bypass a confirmation dialog.

The required New Session consent remains the user's decision; Aida is explicitly instructed not to tick it for you.

Confirmed task changes​

Aida can:

  • mark a task Completed; and
  • dismiss a task.

Both actions open a confirmation dialog showing the intended change. Nothing changes if you decline.

Task completion still does not automatically advance maturity. See Tasks.

Voice​

Select Talk to Aida to start Aida voice. The panel shows:

  • Connecting;
  • Listening — speak now;
  • Aida is speaking; or
  • Voice unavailable.

Text and voice use the same Aida tool catalogue. Stop voice to return to the text composer.

Aida voice is part of the Aida feature; it is not the same as the individual-session Voice mode or Group voice room.

Live-session handoff​

Inside an active readiness session, the session advisor leads the assessment. Aida displays:

You're in a live session — the advisor leads here.

Aida can still fetch information or navigate away, but it is instructed not to compete with the session advisor's questioning.

Clear the Aida conversation​

After Aida has messages, select Clear in its header. This resets the assistant-panel conversation. It does not delete Navaid sessions, tasks, maturity data, or company knowledge.

Take a guided tour​

From Aida's empty state, select Take a guided tour.

The tour:

  1. creates a temporary demo workspace;
  2. visits Dashboard;
  3. opens Maturity Map and a weak dimension;
  4. visits Tasks and Sessions;
  5. opens New Session;
  6. creates a demo session and sends a sample message;
  7. visits Progression;
  8. includes Overview when you have access; and
  9. returns to Dashboard.

Narration auto-advances after a short countdown. Use Pause/Resume, Back, or Exit. The last step waits for Exit.

The demo cleans up its temporary workspace when it ends, when you leave, and on supported page-exit paths. Do not enter real confidential data into the demo session.

Data and safety​

  • Aida's current context includes the active page and company.
  • Aida responses are AI-generated and can be wrong.
  • Read actions can navigate while answering.
  • Confirm the company and task before approving a mutation.
  • Do not ask Aida to handle credentials or unnecessary personal data.
  • Company switching affects the context for later requests.

Troubleshooting​

The launcher is missing​

Ask a System Admin to check the Aida feature flag. It also remains hidden while a guided demo is active.

Aida opened the wrong company​

State the exact company name or switch manually in the sidebar. Verify the header before another request.

Aida cannot complete a task​

Refresh Tasks and confirm that the task ID and status are current. Dismissed tasks are hidden from the default All view.

Aida says the budget is exhausted​

Its AI calls use the same monthly enforcement as other AI features. See Token Budgets and Usage.

Voice is unavailable​

Check microphone permission and network access. Continue in the text composer if live audio cannot connect.
