Feedback Board
The System Admin Feedback tab is a Kanban-style triage board for bug reports and feature requests submitted from Navaid’s Feedback modal.
Users can track their own reports under Feedback → My Reports. Administrator status changes are therefore user-visible.
Filter and sort
Filter the board by:
- All
- Bugs
- Features
Within each status lane, items are ordered by priority and then recency.
Status lanes
The board renders the configured feedback statuses as lanes. Move an item by:
- dragging its card to another lane;
- using keyboard left/right movement on the card;
- opening the detail panel and choosing a status.
A move saves immediately. If it fails, the board returns the card to its previous state.
Use statuses consistently so My Reports gives users a meaningful view.
Review a report
Select a card to open details. The panel contains:
- bug/feature kind;
- title and structured description;
- area;
- reporter;
- submission date;
- status;
- priority;
- administrator notes.
Read the original report before changing priority. AI-assisted structuring helps organise user input but does not verify the issue.
Update priority and notes
- Open the card.
- Choose the appropriate Status and Priority.
- Add concise internal notes.
- Select Save.
- Wait for the saved indicator.
Administrator notes are for triage context. Avoid unnecessary personal data, speculation about the reporter, secrets or credentials.
Triage workflow
Bug
- Confirm area and reproduction information.
- Assess user impact and security implications.
- Set priority.
- Add a short internal reproduction/ownership note.
- Move to the appropriate status.
- Escalate security-sensitive content through the security process rather than copying it broadly.
Feature request
- Identify the user problem behind the request.
- Check for duplicate requests.
- Set priority based on impact and strategy.
- Record the product decision or next review point.
- Keep status accurate for the reporter.
Permanently delete a report
The detail panel includes a destructive Delete action with confirmation.
Delete only when authorised—for example duplicate test data or an approved erasure request. Deletion removes the report from the board and the user’s My Reports view; it is not an archive action and cannot be restored in the interface.
Communication implications
The board does not send a free-form administrator response to the reporter. Users see status and their submitted content. Use an approved support channel for direct follow-up.
Troubleshooting
A drag does not save
Wait for loading to finish, then use the detail panel’s status selector. Refresh to confirm server state.
Reporter information is missing
The report can remain valid even if the profile lookup is unavailable. Use the report ID and user ID for authorised investigation.
Save is disabled
Change status, priority or notes first. The button remains disabled when nothing changed.
Delete fails
Keep the panel open, capture the error and retry only after confirming permission and connectivity.
